The chapter works to restore and protect the habitat of the region’s native pheasants and upland birds through a variety of projects and programs. This includes the creation of wildlife habitat, preservation of existing habitat, and the implementation of educational and outreach programs that focus on conservation. The Chapter also works with landowners to provide technical and financial assistance to help them manage and maintain their land for wildlife. In addition, the Chapter supports local, state, and federal wildlife agencies in their efforts to promote pheasant and upland bird conservation. The Chapter also participates in a variety of events and activities to help increase public awareness of the importance of wildlife conservation.
